First of all, happy birthday to Alan! Woohoo ;) 27! Dang you're old. Haha.
Today was a pretty unique day. We started out by sleeping in, cause Kaity was feeling sick and I was tired, too. We woke up and ate breakfast and then Loida, Cristian's sister, took us in her car to the train station. We took the train to Valencia—about a half hour trip. Once there, we walked around the city for a while and browsed a few shops. They have all kinds of stores there since Valencia is Spain's third largest city. One of our first stops was, of course, Starbucks. Gotta have it! ;) Their prices here are pretty insane, but since we don't drink it all the time, we decided to get some. Kaity got a latte or something and I got a blended chai tea. They have a few different drinks than we do—some fruit frappuccinos that sounded really good, but they were all out of the stuff to make them.
After lounging in the outdoor chairs for a while, we decided to get some real food. Cristian knew of this good falafel place, so we went there and ordered. I was thinking about getting two falafels because they looked really good, but I'm glad I didn't because they were really big :). Once we were finished with our falafels, we went to a gelato shop and ate some gelato. I got pistachio (my favorite) and fruta del bosca (pretty much just a mix of berries).
Once we finished gelato, we walked around some more and went to a few more shops. The main reason we went to Valencia was because it was the day when they have a huge parade for Los Reyes (the Kings) and they give tons of candy to the kids. We waited till the parade began and went to another Starbucks, haha. The parade was pretty neat—tons of people there lining the streets. The candy they gave out was pretty cheap stuff, but hey, the kids like it, so that's what matters. Sad thing was that it began to rain cats and dogs. We were so soaked as we left and headed back to the train station. It was pretty bad.
When we got back to Sagunto, one of Cristian's friends, Javier, picked us up in his car. We picked up a few more friends and then went to buy some dinner at Carrefour. We got pizzas and juice to bring back home. At home, we ate and told jokes for a while, and then we began to watch the movie "Alexander." Kaity was super tired so she headed to bed after a few minutes. I was really tired, as well, so I headed up to my room just a few minutes later. Tired and a little cold :) But the bed I have here is really nice, so I slept well.
Overall, good day :).
